Graham Robson's book, The MGA, MGB and MGC, lists weights as derived from
factory literature. Over the years they must not have been very consistent
with their standards for weigh-in as there are some variance. Anyhow, here
goes:
1500 tourer: 1988 lbs; coupe: 2105 lbs.
1600 tourer: 2015 lbs; coupe: 2075 lbs.
MkII tourer: 1985 lbs; coupe: 2045 lbs.
Twin Cam tourer: 2185 lbs; coupe: 2245 lbs.
Standing quarter mile times from early road tests had the coupe about a
second faster than the roadster. Chalk that up to aerodynamics. 20.2 seconds
for the 1500 roadster and 19.3 seconds for the coupe. In reality the cars
were faster than that, somewhere in the mid 18s as I recall.
