Frank- WD-40 is a moisture displacer & silicone lubricant, but not a penetrant or rust buster. An excellent product for its intended use, it will never loosed the nut. Get as much of the WD-40 out of the knob as possible with a rag or shop towel then use PB Blaster or similar. Others have recommended Busty or GM Rust Penetrant but I am not personally familiar with them. Some heat may help, but use a heat gun, not a torch. Jim Stuart |
