<<Are there any parts common between early MGAs and the '55-'57 Cambridge?
The reason for this question is that a trip to India appears likely in the
near future for me, where there are millions of Hindustan Ambassadors on
the roads. Since these cars were derived from the early Cambridge, I was
wondering if it might be worthwhile trying to pick up some spares while there!

The Austin Garbage and the Morris Awkward? Indeed there are! Mostly drive line
stuff that would be a bit hard to take as carry on luggage, mind you.
I can't offhand think of anything neat and small that you could stick in a
suitcase, that isn't readily available from new parts suppliers, and they
didn't get the Wolseley version of the Cambridge with the super-neat light up
front badge, so that's out.
We have/had a ton of these cars in BC, and we used them mostly for gearbox
parts and crankshafts for our MGAs, although I do have a 5:13 gearset from an
A55 van that works really well for hill climbs in my TVR - you can only do
about 90 mph, but you get there _really_ quickly.
