Hey, a new pointless argument to start the New Year! :-)

So, Larry, assuming that the Birth of Christ really did signify the end of
those years now referred to as BC, the first year of His existence was the
year 0001? Surely, during the twelve months from His birth to the first
anniversary thereof, that was the year Zero, and the end of the year, when
He celebrated His first birthday would have been called One (or, for the
Latinophiles amongst us, Unus)?

Which, by natural extrapolation, makes the next Millennium begin at 2000,
not 2001. IMHO, of course.
