Doug, One past tip on improving driving height is to replace that wooden strip with one that tapers. Cut a two pieces of hardwood 2" at the front end and taper down to 1/4" at the rear. Transfer over the holes for the mounting bolts and install with longer front bolts. Results? On a less than new seat cushion you now have good thigh support as well as better visibilty!
