Jim,
I've used broom sticks, pipes as well as eyeballing and all
worked (some better than others). The tool sold by Moss is,
as you say, a plastic repro but I've found it to worked
better than the aforementioned means. With the centering
tool I set a spline, on the clutch, at 12 o'clock then turn
shaft of the tranny to match. So far, this method has worked
everytime. (Knock on wood!)
