Help! Does anyone know what to use to remove the retaining nut off of a MGB banjo axle? I measured it as 1-15/16" across the flats and then searched far and wide for a socket to fit it. Today I found one (for $5 at a salvage store) but it slipped around the outside of the nut! Should I have used a 1-7/8"? I've tried a monkey wrench (a pipe wrench without teeth) but it just slips off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, David Macedonia [edm107@psu.edu] 1966 MGB |
