When I first got my '78 midget 'running', it was only firing on cylinders 1 & 4, verified by pulling the plug wires off 2 & 3. Compression on 2 was 140, 3 was zero. Found that #3 had the valves adjusted too tight keeping both open slightly (I assume this was happening since a simple adjustment brought the compression up to 150). Also found that 2 & 3 were marked wrong on the distributer cap so the cylinders were trying to fire in the wrong order. |
