On a 65 B that wifey and I were redoing, we found a brake bodge. She was
just pulling out of the driveway after we completed an engine rebuild,
and the brake pedal went to the floor. There was a big Girling fluid
mess under the left front wheel.
Apparently the flare on the metal line had broken off, so the DPO
simply cut the line back a bit, applied silicone sealer, and screwed the
thing back together.
No kidding.
"Honey, I converted the brake system to silicone today. Seems to work!"
