Jay,
Sounds somewhat like my Spit. It's officially registered as a 67,
but any sly fellow will notice the two differences. Wipers park on the
wrong side, and there is a slight dimple in the firewall for the dual
brake master cylinder (which isn't there). Now I did own both cars, and
I did an awful lot of parts combining. Perhaps someone went into
my garage and switched the bodies while I wasn't looking?
By the way, TRF sells new blank VIN plates.
