Panhard rod....hmm.  Imagine a horizontal steel rod, one end is attached to
your rear axle and the other end to the car body.  The bar would be nearly
as long as the axle and run from the left side of your car to the right
side.  This rod would keep the rear axle from shifting left and right
during hard turns.  The longer, the more horizontal, and the more parallel
to the axle the better.

If anyone has Doug Jacksons web address maybe they could pass it onto John.
 Doug sells a panhard rod and as I recall explains it much better than I
just did.
