I've taken another approach -- sound. You should be using a 3 terminal
flasher if you're using the standard TD system. The light green wire
from terminal P is used to illuminate the indicator warning light. Go
to Radio Shack, or a similar place, and buy a solid state (12v) sound
module. Wire it up between the light green wire and ground. When the
flashers are on you'll be able to hear it without taking your eyes off
of the road. You may wind up taping some padding over it to quiet it
down some.
