Isn't any fastener of different metal subject to corrosion no matter
what "coating" is put on? (I'll make an exception for
platings/anodizings that provide a crush- and abrasion-resistant
interface). But won't any paint just crush/smoosh out of the interface,
leaving metal-to-metal contact? Which does make me wonder how
anti-sieze works on threads....

And when fitting together dissimilar metals, the thickness of the
coating is presumably an issue. Thus I can imagine using the
insulating paint and epoxy on top is gonna make some parts just not fit.
Probably I'm missing something here....or are all these suggestions
merely for use to seal the dissimilar metal joint from the outside?

use it for a primer near the ocean because it works.
