Wes,

   I think you are correct in your statement.  The cars today go much
faster right out of the box, in fact many of them do not feel they are
going as fast as they are.  Kids are immortal, or so they believe they
are!!  I teach Vo-Tech to high school kids, you should hear them talk,
it can send shivers up and down your spine!!
