If it bubbles, you've used WAY too much heat. This forms intermetallics and
that joint becomes brittle & weak. Use a moderate sized gas tip so that the
heat is spread over a fairly good-sized area; if you use a tiny tip and
crank up the heat, it is concentrated onto the filler rod and the
overheating causes "fuming" (bubbling).

I was told to mig the inside and the clean up with grinder--the to
braze-solder the outside joint using a 3/16 or 1/8 fluxed rod--ie use low
heat small gas tip, heat the flange and let the metal flow into the tube -
