Richard:
like almost everything that we argue about-- it's a matter of getting past a
class restriction. SCTA Rulebook, Section II-1, 1st paragraph states (in
part) ..."Only Streamliners and Unlimited Diesel Trucks may use more than
one engine at the same time."
So far, I haven't been able to find an affordable surplus Wasp Major 28-cyl
radial to put in my (ex Ralph Nader) Corvair-- but I'm still looking.

I still would like to know who would and why would they do this? However, we
have all seen engines with 2 blocks on a common crankcase run at SCTA meets.
VW's, Corvairs, Joe Panak's Cad 12, Gold Wings, Harleys, ect. So If you
really wanted to you could get a really big hunk of aluminum and a long
piece of 4130, a large CNC machining center, the blocks of your choice and
make what ever you want. Now
will someone please tell me what the advantage of such a thing is?
