Our rear end is a 58 Olds housing, with a Summers Brothers spool and axles.
The center section is a custom unit made from helicopter transmission gears.
They are spiral bevel not hypoid, with a 2/1 ratio. The only problem
pushing it is overcoming the inertia of 4,000 lbs. of iron.
