First off without Grib's Place.... well my car wouldn't be near as fast....
a fella has to temper his excitement around there.... I know I go and say up
front everytime that I am not going to spend anything.... and end up coming
home with all kinds of stuff I " Really NEED " ....... One of the best
places in the world to buy Used fitting's for stainless.... all you can eat
at half price....
Okay on to the Class jumping issue....; Dave hit the nail on the head.... it
is permitted.... that being the case... a fella has to work with what he
has. that simple.... I agree that I would rather run in class ....
HOWEVER.... the rule is that you can run in higher classes. So if you
even want to talk about points.... think about it... your competing by the
ECTA rules.... Chase points like the leaders do.... race every meet and work
the issue... ( PS... that brings in money to the ECTA as does running in
multipul classes in a single meet ) Personally I have never run in more
then one class in a weekend in search of points...... I did run 5 classes
in Paul Chism's Jag.... but that wasn't about points it was about setting as
many records as a car could set in a single meet..... some of which are Very
tough to beat..... especially that B/B/GC at 200mph
It's part of the game.... either play it or don't.... This year I am not a
Player... it just isn't important.... but the one thing I do know... is that
the folks leading the points are there EVERY meet setting records....
