On my Vega I mounted the 9 inch on Vega coils cut somewhat shorter, and a
more or less stock triangulated 4 bar. ( made tubular adjustable bars,
reinforced the pickup points) and a panhard rod. Its all just heavy wall
tube from the steelyard and surplus rod ends. It was low enough I put the
shocks in the hatchback section out of the wind and connected with rods. I
think if I started with a leafspring car I would have used lowering blocks
and traction masters if I found I needed them. My Vega front axle came from
Challenger made to my width drop and spindle (Econoline) requirements. More
tubing and rod ends 4 bar is really simple. I use a cross leaf with a
shackle at one end only. It's really not that big of a deal if you just take
it one step at a time. Rich Fox
