t apart, cleaned everything up, put=0Aeverything back together, refit it=
with new points and reinstalled it=0Ain the car using the cell phone ph=
otos I took to get it back as close=0Aas possible and bam!, she fired ri=
ght up! Got my timing light out,=0Amade the slightest adjustment and I'm=
back in the game. =0A=0A=09I have since been able to buy another dist=
ributor from a BN1, which=0Awas a bit of a mess inside, but was able to=
tear it apart, clean it,=0Aput it back together and it now works just f=
ine and now if I have=0Atrouble on the side of the road, I have a spare=
distributor to switch=0Aout. =0A=0A=09But I may go the Pertronix pat=
h in the future, and the solid core=0Awire question is still in my mind.=
As well as the placement of the=0Aignitor. Or am I just using the wrong=

ittent, resulting in more time lost trying to diagnose the=0Aproblem wit=
