Assuming that you have a standard 100 heater undoing the three clips is
straight forward. This will expose the back of the rheostat. The wiring
goes though a small grommet at the top and this often perishes.
Removing the whole heater: after the hoses are disconnected is by three
fixings two are at the top front of the vertical bracket: welded onto the
box cross member. The other one goes through the back of the cross member
and you have to use a box spanner through a hole on the engine side after
perhaps removing blanking grommets. Putting this nut back when refitting
can be a little tricky.
