Here's my two cents worth on that problem. Go to a parts store like NAPA or
Autozone and tell them the size belt you think you need. They can tell the
length by the stock #. If they 'll give refunds, buy two or three sizes in
half inch gradations. Take back the ones that don't fit. That's what I did.

Subject: [Healeys] Fan Belt issues
I measured the length of wire around my pulley, water pump and generator
and it was 41".
The wire sat in the bottom of the V, so a Fan belt might be a bit shorter
7440, 9440 GATES belts are too short, as is the one sold by Moss.
My old one was cut off and tossed, I now know that was a bad idea :(
any ideas?
