Thanks everyone for the advice--I'll likely be doing this job this  
afternoon so will be able to report the results quickly.  BTW one of the  
tricks I 
have learned along the way is to drill a small (1/16') hole in the disc  to 
prevent airlock and aid in refilling the block/head with coolant.
