There may have been, as they say, a misunderstanding. It doesn't matter
whether it's a Mini, a Healey of any stripe, or a Rolls Royce --
reversing the fan blades will not change the direction of air flow.
(Reversing the polarity of a fan motor will, however).
A Sprite, having a longitudinal engine with a belt-driven fan and the
radiator in front, is going to pull the air backward through the radiator.
