G'day
It's a good thing that I am a reasonably easy going sort of bloke, for
if I wasn't as I would be calling a lot of people out there a pack of
drongos.
Yes I know that it wasn't in words of one syllables but I think I made
it quite clear that the question was for a 1967 Sprite. I also made it
clear that the question was received from a Sprite owner and did not
come from me. Most may know that I have never owned a Sprite and
therefore I have no idea what the radiator fan setup is on the bloody
things. For all I know the air may be pushed through the radiator by the
gyrations of an over excited geisha.
It was a simple question that deserved a simple answer. That's it. It
had nothing to do with how copies of Healey Marque arrive damaged in the
post. Nothing to do with Texas Coolers, M**S Motors and certainly
nothing to do with the 2367 100Ms that still exist from the original 600
plus built.
Although I am well aware of the primary causes of running hot I will say
thankyou to those who reminded me about those causes. However, I thought
perhaps that they may be something peculiar to Sprite that I was not
aware of.
The English language is full of wonderful ways of passing on one's
feelings without resorting to words that leave negativities.
By the way the fan in the BMC Mini is designed to blow air through the
radiator and if it's reversed it draws air through causing overheating.
It's probably peculiar to the Mini and derivatives.
