I had this this problem a few years ago. The advise I got from the Nocks
was to check and see if there was a 'pad' in the recess in the bell housing
where the shifting rods go. There wasn't. I inserted a piece of gasket
material in the bottom of the hole and the problem went away. The low gear
rod was going too far forward and locking up the gear.
