I'm a big fan of a pre-lube tank. Fill it with the desired oil, unscrew a =
plug somewhere on the block - typically where there's one that allowed the =
oil passage to a main bearing to be drilled, connect the hose, pressurize t=
he tank with air, and it pumps oil through your whole system. No need to p=
ull the distributor.
Not. the cheapest, but I've used one for years, and it gets used every time=
I start up an engine for the first time after significant work or if the a=
ccusump has been empty for a while and I can't use that for pre-lube.

There are others, some cheaper, some more expensive. one thing to look for=
is one that it is easy to dump oil into. I have a cheap one - not like th=
is, have to use a funnel, kind of a pain.
