You could certainly try smaller, but -8 is a convenient size for all the =
fittings involved, both on the accusump and what you would likely =
connect to the engine. A 1/4-18 NPT to -8 fitting is easy to fit into a =
galley hole with minimal drilling and tapping. You also have a bigger =
galley than you might realize. the TR3 galley is about 3/8=E2=80=9D and =
has four 5/32=E2=80=9D (roughly) feeders coming off it. At least that my =
recollection. You don=E2=80=99t want to create flow restrictions at the =
source=E2=80=94if you have them you want them at the receiving end.=20
