Valvoline VR1 Synthetic Racing Oil has plenty of the ZDDP stuff for
flat tappet engines. I can't locate the spec sheet at the moment,
but the blurb from their website says:
"High zinc/phosphorus for extreme anti-wear, including flat tappets"

I use the Dino juice version of the VR1 for breakin and then the
synthetic version for racing. Bearings and cam have looked perfect
with that combination.

My understanding is that the Mobil 1 synthetic sold in the USA
followed the EPA recommendations and reduced their ZDDP content,
killing some race motors and giving synthetic a bad name.

Brad Penn, Redline and Joe Gibbs oils have plenty of ZDDP too - and
are more expensive than Valvoline.
