Dave,
FWIW I flipped the lower arms on my 3 when rebuilding the front end. It does
give you an extra 1" lower. I read about it in a book that I think is called
"How to improve the Triumph TR3",
Haven't tested it yet as I have no rear end, engine completely apart, body off
chassis etc.
