I've got 6 seasons on mine, and I use it (typically) 10-12 times per event
day, more if I have a co-driver.
But I'm an autocrosser, you're a road racer. The (significant) difference
in the two is that our cars don't get as hot for as long and we have a lot
less vibration (less time a full throttle).
If you don't have a heat shield, that might be a good thing to do...
there's not much you can do it the prob is vibration.
How exactly do the starters fail?
