You don't identify your failure mode but I had a lot of trouble with my 
Hitachi? conversion because the solenoid would stick in the tapered cushion 
area of 
the cap.  I finally put silicone grease on the rubber and drilled a 5/16 hole 
to push a screwdriver thru if it stuck.  So far that's settled it.
