The only problem with Tilton installations is the pedal spacing. Sure it
takes a lot of sheet metal work to make them fit, but it's a long winter.
the big problem is that when you're done you might not like the way it
heel-and-toes. Big pedals, far apart. I wound up making my own stuff to fit.
Not that big a job once you buckle down to it. I used the Tilton weld-in
balance bar jiggy, and tilton master cylinders (and forgot to pull the
residual pressure valve out of the clutch M/C, costing me an engine teardown
to replace the thrust bearings). Wasn't a bad project. Made a whole bunch of
nice pedals in various lengths getting it right. Did wonders for my
middle-thickness steel MIG welding skills. Finally wound up with adjustable
pedals kind of like the ones you see in a lot of formula fords. Sure is nice
getting the pedal height dialed JUST right. I'm going to do the same thing
to Peyote this winter, preserving the original box and bias adjusters.
