Scrappy is on all fours and running really nicely. The suspension
modifications picked up 1.5" at the front, 1" at the rear, and a smoother
ride to boot (better for sucking up big ragged pot holes and rural grade
crossings).
It feels like the front could use some more shock. Greatrace rules permit
anything available when the car was new. Was Koni or Spax making gas shocks
in '57? So far R&T and SCI back issues have revealed nothing: next reference
is Autocar. If so, I need documentation to back it up.
GR rules also permit any type of hydraulic shock. Anyone using something
better than a County? What, where, and how much?
The car goes on the trailer a week from this Saturday.
