Amici: On this same subject, the past two years, I have experienced a serious problem with the brass floats in my SU carbs. Some of the fuels I have been using (and I have never used additives) have eaten the soldered joint in the floats, and carb problems (including serious overflows). This was particularly true with the new floats available from places like TRF and Moss Motors. Old floats seemed to stand up better. Anyone else experience this? Bill Dentinger |
