The chemistry of fuel has changed dramatically over the last decade. A
number of the mechanics out here in california have told me that they see
alot of problems with the new fuels and degradation of older plastic/rubber
car parts. especially in car that are stored. It may be that the old
materials are not resistant to the new fuels.
