in the state of texas if you do that (buy and sell a vehicle without titling
it in your name) you are considered a dealer and breaking the law if you do
not have a dealer's license.
with the excption of dealing in vehicles 25 years or older . . . no license
is required.
i would think that you could get a vehicle history report or something to
verify its not stolen. just a thought; i do not know this for a fact.
