On my Original Owner 68, the front engine hoist bracket was between the tower and the head, and although the head was off making it much easier to manipulate, I was able to pound on this solid steel hook instead of the tower and it freed up. This was on a car that has sat since 1986. If this hook is on your car be sure you leave it as it makes a good barrier to corrosion. Ron |
