I have a friend that did a 12a 73 Midget. With the stock 4:22 rear gear, the
thing
was a rocket on takeoff. Shifting into 5th would still throw the car sideways a
little. The stripped block will fit nicely, especially of you put a DCOE on it,
as
the intake from Racing Beat puts the carb on top of the motor, rather than out
to
the side. Put the alternator where the smog pump was as well. The only part of
the
Spridget that needed cut was the passenger footwell, to allow room for the
exhaust.
And yes, the thermal reactor gets REAL HOT!!!!
