Marko:
Check your gound straps between the engine/frame and battery. If the straps
open up, the starter will find a return to the battery anyway it can. Years
ago, mine found a path through my accelerator cable, effectively spot
welding it inside the sheath. Just glad I don't drive barefoot!

Subject: electrical problem
An electrical problem on my car has me stumped.
All electrical systems look as if they are working,
the battery is fully charged, but the starter motor
will not turn. All I hear is a click instead.
I put car into gear and rocked it for a while to move
it, and the starter motor worked. So I know I can get
out of the garage, but will I be able to get home?
What is about to fry and be more expensive to repair?
Should I just accept the starter is about to go and
replace it or is there more to this?
Only other relevant bit of info is that the generator
/ alternator recently stopped charging the battery.
However, I seem to have fixed this by replacing the
voltage regulator.
Thanks in advance.
