1600 oil galley plugs / Block prep

I am about to take my 1600 block to the machine shop.

Do you recommend removing theoil galley plugs at both ends of the block? Plugs
for the water jacket as well?

I have already cleaned up the casting in the holes where the water goes from
the block to the head.

I know I have seen this somewhere before but several searches in the archives
didn't turn up anything.
