My steering wheel needs to be rotated seven
degrees CCW, a condition which has "bugged me" for
years, and I finally decided to do something about
it.
I've removed the horn button/hub, the large nut
retaining the wheel, the 2 screws securing the
'contact plate', and the 3 screws under that,
holding the steering wheel inner hub. I've
applied 'moderate coaxing' to pull the hub from
the shaft spline. It doesn't seem to want to
move.
Do I need something related to a 'gear puller' to
be able to accomplish this? How have others been
able to do it?
