Another suggestion is to teach new drivers to use the clutch in reverse in a large parking lot. In reverse the feedback loop is negative, as the motion of the car causes the clutch to ease its motion, rather than jerk the pedal out as it does in forward. My cousin Irv taught me this way in 1965 in a 1957 3 on the tree Plymouth, it was very slick.
