I wouldn't say the roadster is too unpleasant to drive when it's super
slammed like alvin's is... the problem is in the bumpsteer... at that low a
ride height, there is an exorbitant amount of toe out, which causes the car
to wander over dips and bumps a bit. It's easy to dial it out, but probably
not with the stock center link because it's a bit short to thread out that
much. The fix is to get a longer rod and thread the ends (with right hand and
left hand threads) and use it in place of the stock center link. What's funny
is that at that super low ride height, the lower control arm is almost
horizontal to the ground. With a little further tweaking of the camber with
some washers, the roadster would look very nice, and probably handle like
crazy in the corners.
Oh yah, and the comp oil pan is definitely not a good thing to have on such a
low car! I think a normal steel pan would afford you an extra 1" of clearance
under there though...
