Hi John, I have bought used vehicles for years and had good luck. I always
take them to a good mechanic for a complete going over. I usually buy from
private individuals and avoid paying any extra. That would be one way to
get a quality vehicle and avoid the big "new car" mark-up (and associated
first year depreciation) from dealerships. Let someone else take the write
down and you get a nicely broken in car/truck. Plus, I don't have to pay
the Canadian government's goods and services tax. Good Luck! Larry.

As a contractor I have no choice but to drive a full size heavy duty truck.
I hate them and can't imagine why anyone would choose to drive one if they
didn't have to. My frustration is that with the popularity of poser trucks,
I have one heck of a time finding a truck sutible for actual work. All the
dealers carry are short-bed extended cab 4x4's with carpeting and plush
interiors. Useless as a work truck.
