I'm so sick of this junk photo being claimed as real. It aint real people.
1. Take a straight edge and follow the path of the underlying 2x4s--you'll
see the lumber goes right through the roof of the car by mid-roof. The back
passenger window would've broken when the door frame was crushed by the
lumber, as would the back windshield. They're fine, defying all physics.
2. Try putting that many 4x4s and plywood stacked up at that steep angle,
with the only thing holding them together being some badly tied nylon cord.
It won't hold, and even if it did hold, it would slide/splay downhill like
a deck of cards. In the pic they're amazingly held all together and with
barely any sliding at all.
3. The lumber is tied to the car by the windshield wipers, driver's seat or
some other silly attachment point, rather than going under the car as would
be logical. This makes absolutely no sense.
Just because there's a web page claiming its real with a bunch of
superfluous details (Home Depot, Rt. 925, the police showed up, etc.)
doesn't make it so. For that matter, if the whole thing was that big a
spectacle, with police, etc. where were the pics of the car after they took
all the lumber off? Why only one picture, and not a dozen. If I'd gone to
all the trouble to buy a camera to take a picture of something that
amazing, I'd shoot the whole roll.
Use common sense people!
