I know we talked about this before - I am happy to see there is more
interest now.

My dream is to put an SR20DE or DET in my roadster and later a 510, you know
after she divorces me for getting another project car. ;-) After driving a
Nissan Primera, and having owned a Nissan PU with the KA24, the SR20 is
sooooo smooth all the way to redline - in it's stock form. The KA24 was
really a truck motor with a bigger bore for low-end torque. Even in Japan -
the 4 door work trucks we are all crazy about.

I believe the SR20 also has a "square" bore and stroke - the same
dimensions. Good for 700 HP if you are really wild (see Sport Compact Car
JUN Motorsports Silvia) , or 200+ in a rock-solid daily driver. (turbo, of
course.) Any engineers that can comment on why the engine design is so
good? Power to weight ratio, well, you get the picture.

I am surprised Van has not piped up - are you out there, Van?

My .02578 cents worth,
