Phil,

I've gotten the engine mounts figured out, as well as the steering linkage -
a couple of universals, spherical bearings, and a bearing inside the
"column" tube.

The engine position's the distributor between 1/4 & 1/2" ahead of the hood
latch, keeping the weight as far back as possible. With the block/tranny in
place, I set the heads and Edlebrock manifold / Holley 390 / Pro-Flo air
cleaner ( slightly trimmed down) on the block, and I've got aout 1/2"
clearance when the hood closes!

Still have some enigneering work to do on the "X" member to accomodate the
T5's mount, and to get the tail down about 1". I'm going to lift the body
tub off to make it easy to get at, but I've got to build a wood support
frame to hold the body first - maybe this weekend.....

Had to cut a wedge out of each of the floor boards / tunnel to get the T5
back far enough, but since the floor was slightly rusty at the very front, I
was going to have to do some sheetmetal work anyway.

Mark Dent was VERY kind in donating a Wilwood 7/8" clutch master cylinder to
the cause, so I've got what I need for the clutch hook-up.

I've layed-out the header flanges, and some other bracketry parts I'll need
in my CAD proggy, and will send a .dxf file out to be laser cut as soon as
I'm sure I have all the parts I need - Whole Shop has a $100 min. charge,
and normally charge by the linear inch for cutting, and I'm still below the
min.

My "ace" mechanic ( seen on the web site ) and I have been going round and
round on color - I wanted to do it to match my Z, but she insists on blue,
her favorite color, so the R's going to be a non-metallic blue with a
purple-ish cast - about the color of a WD-40 can - with a dual stripe in
Persimmon Red - sort of a flip flop of the color scheme on the Z.

Picked up some Western brand, Panasport knock-off wheels, 14x7, and am going
to order a set of Falken Azenis 195/60/14's any day now.

One of these nights I'll get some new pics added to the web page...........
