Just looked in what I'm pretty sure is the '71 Comp Parts catalog. I know
it's the earliest I have and it came with a number of photocopied
bulletins and a very nice letter signed by Dick Roberts. In addition to
the parts listed in the catalog, there is a separate sheet that list the
following:
Stock Bore R-16 11 to 1 CR Pistons (12010-14619) $15.00/each
Ring Set for above (12033-20100) $15.38/set
>From that catalog:
38mm SU carbs - SSS 510 (16010-22004) $130.00/set
50mm Solex carbs - FIA kit (16010-22010) $247.15/set
44mm Solex carbs - (16010-25505) $158.77
4.38 LSD assembly (38300-13220) $158.50
Aluminum Flywheel (99996-D1011) $128.00
At those prices I'll take about a dozen of each, thank you very much!
I'll even pay for the shipping. To give a basis for comparison the D-1011
Tilton flywheel was $400 list last year. At least I got mine for a little
less. I also have a BRE catalog from the same period that offers Detroit
Locker assemblies in virtually any ratio for the Roadster, the Z, the 510
and the trucks for $133.00
Course we had a heck of a lot less disposable income then, too. It's
still fun to look back at this stuff.
