1500 alternator swap.

Hey all, a new list member from Australia. Im currently restoring a 65
1500, the crossover model, which i understand runs a positive earth
electrical system. I will be changing over to a neg earth system when i
come to the wiring stage and installing an internal reg bosch alternator,
mainly to make it simpler and more reliable. Do the guages run from the
car's 12v supply or do they need there own regulated supply? any other tips
for this swap? Thanks in advance....
